Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 17 Days

The Annapurna base camp trek is a medium level trek. This trek requires a good experience of walking and a good physical condition. It covers views of the Machhapuchare, Annapurnas, Daulagiri, Nilgiri and other beautiful mountains. The trail passes through different ethnic villages, forests, and cultivated land. Rhododendron is the national flower of Nepal, which is blooming in March-April. This route steps ascending up to 4130m at Annapurna Base Camp and descends towards Ghorepani and Ponn Hill fro there we can observe the charming of the panoramic Himalayas views.

Trek passes proceeds through scenic, deep valleys, lush rhododendron forests, scattered villages over high ridges and ascends the narrow gorge of the tumbling Modi Khola. The trail above Chomrong can be rough and sometimes challenging but the rewards that a wait in the sanctuary are worth every bit of effort you spend. Its challenging even its short and easy.

Day 1
Arrival at Tribhuban International airport and transport to hotel.

Day 2
Sightseeing at Kathmandu valley, overnight at hotel.

On this day, we will be visiting world heritage site inside the kathmandu valley which inclueds Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath (Templa of lord Shiva), Boudhnath and Swoyambhunath Temple.

Day 3
Kathmandu to Pokhara.

Driving about six hours on bus through Prithivi highway. Overnight at hotel

Day 4
Drive to Naya Pool and start trek to Hile/Tilhekhunga

We begins our trek at Naya Pool, 45m drive from Pokhara. After 20-minutes walk along the Modi river, we will be at Birethanti – beautiful village that has plenty of tea shops and guest houses. Then we follow the left route through the village. Our trek will continue heading to Hile or Tikhedhunga

Day 5
Trek to Ghorepani (2850m.)

Today our trek leading us to the Ghorepani, one of the popular destinations of Annapurna region situated at an altitude of 2850m. Our trek gently ascends up to Banthanti (2250meters) through Oak & rhododendron forest. We then continuou trek towards to Ghorepani through Nangeythanti (2460meteres). Today we walk normally 6 hours all the way up to Ghorepani.

Day 6
Trek to Tadapani (2625m)

Climb up to Poon Hill (3210m.) Early i morning around five o’clockto see the panoramic views of Dhaulagiri Annapurna, Lamjung Himalayan ranges as well as sunrise over the tolerable Himalayas. Having its great views of Himalayan panorama from Poon Hill descends to Ghorepani and continuous trek to Tadapani (2625m.) after having breakfast. We will trek towards Tadapani along the ridges of rhododendron and pine forest.

Day 7
Trek to Chhomrong (2020m)

Descends down to Kimrong stream through the forest of rhododendron. We then walk towards Chhomrong crossing through the village of Gurjung. Chhomrong offers you close views of Mt. Annapurna south and Hiun Chuli and fishtail.

Day 8
Trek to Dovan

We descend down to Chhomrong stream and again climb up to Sinwa and through silent rhododendron forest to arrive Dobhan.

Day 9
Trek to Deurali (3200m.)

we climb to Deurali through the rhododendron and bamboo forest. The place located on the ridge of Hinko Cave & it is the trail most stretch subject to avalanche in the winter season.

Day 10
Trek to Annapurna base camp (4131meters), overnight at guest house

The day begins with climbs to Machhapuchhre base camp (3900meters) and to Annapurna base camp. The area surrounded by the mountains of every side known as Annapurna Sanctuary. The area gives you a spectacular view of the Himalayas including Annapurna I, Annapurna South and Barah Shikhar.

Day 11
Trek back to Bamboo

Finally, we turn back to Bamboo with the remembrance of Annapurna ranges.

Day 12
Trek to Jhinu Danda

Trek back to Nayapul to Pokhara

Day 14
Exploring Pokhara valley, overnight at hotel

Today, we will visit most of the popular destination of Pokhara including Devid’s fall, Gupteshor Cave, World Peace Stupa, and join boating at Lake Phewa.

Day 15
Drive back to Kathmandu, overnight at hotel

Day 16
Free or shopping day in Kathmandu

Day 17
Transfer to airport, departure on your own destination
