Lobuche East Climbing (6119m/20,070 ft) is one of the most technical trekkers peak in Everest area. The sheer elevation of Lobuche with rugged climbing route with ice fall and crevasses makes this climbing technically difficult. Lobuche is located close to Khambu Glacier with two distinctive peaks – Lobuche East and Lobuche Far East.
Lobuche East is the major climbing peak and both are separated by deep notched ridge. The first recorded ascent of Lobuche East was made by Laurence Nielson and Sherpa Ang Gyalzen on April 25, 1984.
This climbing itinerary is crafted with combination of Everest Base Camp trek which allows better acclimatization process before climbing. From top of the Lobuche East peak you get splendid views of Everest alongside Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Pumori.
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu. Upon arrival, meeting and assistance at airport. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Sightseeing and preparation
You can enjoy full-day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu visitng 3 UNESCO Heritage site.
From our-side we will process for your permit and legal documents to botain permit for climbing. Evening we will meet you at our office for briefing and document handover with guide introduction.
Breakfast and Accommodation will be at Hotel
Day 3: Fly Kathmandu/Lukla (2860m) and Trek Phakding (2610m) – 3 hrs walk
Early morning you will meet your trekking guide and together transferred to Kathmandu Domestic airport to board flight to Lukla. This flight itself is known for fantastic aerial view of Mountain ranges. Upon arrival at Lukla, your guide will introduce you with other trekking members. Start your trek to Pkhading. You will walk to 3 hours today for better acclimatization process.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are lunch & dinner at lodge.
Day 4: Trek Namche Bazaar (3440m) – 6 hrs walk
Enjoy your breakfast at lodge and start the trekking trail that follow Dudh Koshi River. You will cross famous Double Suspension Bridge and uphill climb with rewarding Mountain views will leads to Namche Bazaar which is largest settlement of Sherpa community in Nepal. Sherpas are the indigenous people of Nepal known for the climbing skills. On each expedition on the peaks above 8000meters especially in South Asian region you require expertise and help of Sherpa to make ascend successful. Free time on own to stroll around local town at your own pace.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route & dinner at lodge.
Day 5: Acclimation day
Day is free for acclimatization. To ease this process we recommend you day excursion to Syangboche located at altitude of 3780 meters to get best panoramic views of Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku mountains. Also visit famous “Everest View Hotel” featured as the highest placed hotel in world. Return back to Namche for overnight.
Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route and dinner at lodge in Namche.
Day 6: Trek Tengboche (3867m) – 5 hrs walk
Today trek will take you to Tengboche which is known for excellent view of Ama Dablam valley with Everest skyline. Tengboche is also known for the largest Buddhist monastery in Everest region “Tengboche Monastery” which host annual Mani Rimdu festival celebrated by Sherpa communities. You can witness evening rituals at monastery or relax at your lodge admiring the beautiful mountain views.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch & dinner at lodge.
Day 7: Trek Dingboche (4410m) – 5 hrs walk
Morning enjoy breakfast at your lodge. Your guide will fix a time for today walk and meet you at exact time to start today’s trek. Today you will walk for 5 hours to reach to Dingboche located on the Glacier line of Imja and Duwo Glacier in Chukhung valley. You will cross typical Sherpa settlements like Deboche, Pangboche & Shomare. Check-in at your lodge.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route & dinner at lodge.
Day 8: Acclimatization Day
Today is acclimatization day to adjust your body for altitude gained. You can enjoy excursion to near-by places with your trek guide for better acclimatization. If not interested and require some rest then you can relax at your lodge.

Day 9: Trek Lobuche (4940m) – 5 hrs walk
Start your trek today along Mani walls (especial Buddhist prayer stone carving) with uphill climb to Dhugla. If interested can visit Himalayan Rescue Association Health Post at Pheriche en-route. Continue further to moraine of the Khumbu Glacier bypassing Scott Fischer memorials and Babu Chairi Sherpa memorial. A gentle push for another 2 hours will lead us to Lobuche.

Day 10: Trek Gorekshep (5170m) with visit to Everest Base Camp (5364m) – 7 hrs walk
Today walk is strenuous due to low oxygen level hence you are recommended to start early to avoid any rush. You will follow your guide instructions and follow him carefully on the trekking trails via Gorekshep Tso which is full of rocky dunes, Glacier moraine and Glacier streams. You will reach to Everest Base Camp where you will see many expeditions group accommodate themselves at bright colored tents willing to push themselves for successful Everest Summit ascent. Since you will be at Base Camp of Everest hence it will not be visible but you can see magnificent view of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori from this place. After spending sometime here, you will trek back to Gorekshep village for overnight stay. Gorekshep is the last temporary human settlement in Everest Area.

Day 11: Kalapathar Sunrise Excursion and trek to Lobuche (4940m) – 6 hrs walk
Early morning you will climb to the best view point on earth to see magnificent view of sunrise over Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Cho-oye and Lhotse. When sun light strike to white lofty peaks the entire colour changes from white to orange. You can also see view of Everest Base Camp from Kalapathar. Spend your time to cherish the accomplishment and return back to Gorekshep for breakfast. After some rest, you will start your trek down to Lobuche following the same route.

Day 12: Lobuche to Lobuche Base Camp (4,950m) – 2 hours climb
From Lobuche, we trek towards Lobuche base camp. After walking some distance on relatively flatter plane, the path to the Lobuche Base Camp gets steeper and rocky. We move forward along the Lobuche Glacier while enjoying great views of Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pokalde, Thamserku, Kantega and other Himalayas.
Accommodation will be at Tented Camp. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch & dinner at camp.
Day 13: Lobuche Base Camp to High Camp (5,400m) – 4 hours climb
From Lobuche Base Camp, we continue on a rocky moraine path to reach the High Camp. Upon reaching the High Camp, we set up our camp, take lunch and rest. For the climb, we usually will be climbing on rock surface for up to around 5770m. After that, we climb on ice and use ropes when necessary. However, the use of the rope and the length depends upon the season and the crevasses. Fixed rope is used most of the times whereas man rope is used when required. The climbing leaders will decide what is best for when. Overnight in Lobuche East High Camp.

Day 14: Lobuche High Camp to Summit (6119m) and back to High Camp: 8-10 hours
We wake up early today at around 12 to 1 am and have our breakfast before beginning our climb. It is important we reach the summit before noon because in the afternoon the strong winds in the high lands might become a barrier for a successful summit. We will most likely be walking on rock surface up to around 5700m after which we climb on ice. We use both fixed rope and man rope as per our leader’s instruction. The climbing surface as well as the length of the rope and depends on the time of the season and the crevasses. Lobuche East offers more panoramic views of the mountains than any other trekking peak. From the summit, you get to enjoy magnificent views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumori, and many more. We spend some time at the summit celebrating and taking pictures, then we get back to the High Camp again for an overnight stay.

Day 15: Trek to Lobuche
Trek down to Lobuche via Base Camp.

Day 16: Trek Namche Bazaar (3440m) – 6 hrs walk
Today you will walk down to Namche Bazaar which takes 6 hours walk. You will check-in at lodge. Spend your free time explore local market. Namche is the biggest local market in Everest region. Every Saturday you will see weekly market for best bargain price, local faces from neighboring villages. You can take advantage of the same to purchase mountain souvenirs, Yak cheese or other handcraft.

Day 17: Trek to Lukla (2860m) – 6 hrs walk
After breakfast at local lodge, start your trek with trekking crew to Lukla. Check-in at lodge. Rest of the day is free on own per personal activities.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route & dinner at lodge.
Day 18: Fly Lukla/Kathmandu
Your guide will escort to you till Kathmandu however you need to see off other trek members. You will take back flight to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to your hotel.
Accommodation will be at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 19: Rest Day
Rest day in Kathmandu
Accommodation will be at Hotel in Kathmandu with breakfast.
Day 20: Departure Transfer
Transfer to Kathmandu airport in time to board flight back home.
