Climb Mera Peak and Island peak by crossing Amaphu Labtsa pass. Island peak Mera peak Amaphu Labtsa Pass is the challenging trekking and climbing route in Everest Region. This program is also known as “Two Peaks with Amaphu Labtsa Expedition”.

Mera Peak (6476m) is one of the highest trekking peak in Nepal among 33 peaks opened for expedition by Nepal Mountaineering Association. Mera Peak top offers spectacular view of Himalayan ranges with five 8,000m peaks visible which includes Mount Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kangchenjunga with other 7000 meters peaks located in Everest region. The standard route from the north involves high altitude glacier walking. This mountain climbing is popular among many expedition seekers in Nepal. Basic expedition knowledge or anybody physically fit can enjoy the expedition with proper arrangements. The elevation and weather are the biggest challenge for successful ascent. However the peak climbing route is not technical compare to other trekkers’ peak in Nepal.

Cross one of the most challenging pass in Everest region – Amaphu Labtsa pass. Crossing Amaphu Labtsa pass require mountaineering knowledge and technique. The ice and rock summit is quite exposed and provides good views of Lhotse Shar, Island Peak and the Imja Glacier. The way down into the Imja valley towards Island Peak on the other side of the pass involves abseiling followed fixed rope descent.

Similarly Island peak (6189m) is one of the technical peak and most popular climbing peak in Everest Area.

This 27 Days itinerary is prepared for adventure seekers who already done some climbing and trekking in higher altitude and looking to increase the technical and professional level. We do not suggest this climbing for beginners or people with-out basic mountaineering technique and just looking for adrenaline rush. Enjoy fascinating culture and traditions of Sherpa people, get close to them and witness the lifestyle of the world best climbers in Everest area.
